Cheryl Patella is a consultant for business development and hospitality.  Her experience of over 30 years includes Forbes Five Star Executive Training, Leading Hotels of the World, fundraising, board development, events, team development, financial expertise in budgeting, P & L, forecasting and creative solutions for budget management. 

  

She currently acts as Managing Director of Spa Innovators, an educational organization designed to help hospitality professionals with education, resources and support. As a Spa Director and Consultant, she has opened 11 facilities and renovated 4 spas. Her projects have won awards for design, programming and innovativeness.  This includes Spa Internazionale at the exclusive Fisher Island; The Biltmore Hotel and Resort in Coral Gables; Doral Isles for Lennar Homes in Doral; Grove Isle Resort in Belize; The International Americana Resort in Acapulco. Every facility she creates provides an all-inclusive lifestyle experience.

 

She prides herself in a team oriented environment, encouraging her staff to strive for the very best.  With a great deal of knowledge and expertise, she continually works on providing her staff with all the tools they need to provide the “attention to detail” that sets her and her facilities apart from the rest.

 

Speaking before groups, Cheryl engages the audience with interactive discussions of creative ideas for improving hospitality, coaching staff and clients and helping others to believe in themselves and their potential. Her reality-based tips for improving their service in the industry and positive thinking energize people into setting reachable goals and making personal contracts with themselves for a balance of work and play. 

 

As a native of Miami, Florida she serves on various boards and non-profits internationally.  She has been featured in publications such as Living In Balance, The Miami Herald, Miami Metro Magazine, Daily Business Review, Chicago Tribune, ISPA Pulse, American Spa, Women’s Fitness International, and currently has articles posted on the Internet and in print.  Cheryl hosted and co-produced a televised exercise program in both English and Spanish for 10 years. She serves this year as Spa Chair for CancerLink 2015-2016 for the Sylvester Cancer Research Center.

 

Specialties: Customer service, motivation, team building and keeping an eye on the future to ensure success.  She has an extensive wellness background that includes rehab, stress management, writing, creative programming and motivating others to achieve their goals.
